FINANCE ASSISTANT

G3 Pt 6 - 9

Sir Francis Hill Primary School, Bristol Drive, Lincoln, LN6 7UE

NOR 422+52 Nursery. Age Range 3-11

The Governors are seeking to appoint a 12 hours a week School Finance Assistant.

The successful candidate will manage the school’s purchasing, sales invoicing and cash accounting on a day to day basis, using the school finance system (HCSS Accounting).

In addition, the person will produce analysis of income and expenditure to ensure excellent value of taxpayers’ money and will work alongside others to monitor the school’s budget throughout the year.

Applicants are to have experience of Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook and Excel.

We are looking for candidates with a genuine interest in finance. Applicants are not required to have any formal qualifications but must be IT literate and have keyboard skills. Experience in a similar role would be desirable.

This is a term time post and there is flexibility as to how the hours can be structured over the week, providing the post holder works at least 3 days a week.

The post has arisen due to our current Bursar being on long term sick leave. However the school does have weekly support from a School Business Manager and a Finance Assistant who has been in role a couple of years who will continue to work 4 hours week, so there will be support and training on the school’s system in place for the successful applicant.

An application form can be downloaded by clicking the link below.  Please return completed application forms to Mrs Christine Goldson at chris.goldson@sir-francis-hill.lincs.sch.uk or Sir Francis Hill Primary School, Bristol Drive, Lincoln, LN6 7UE.

Closing date for applications is Noon on Wednesday 10th May

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 16th May

If you have not been contacted to attend for interview by Friday 12th May, please assume that on this occasion your application has been unsuccessful.

Applicants should note our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This appointment is subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check being carried out for this post.
