Due to the recent expansion of our school and staff changes, the governing body, staff, parents and, of course, the children of Sir Francis Hill are looking for two class teachers to work in our thriving and growing school. We are looking for a teacher to work full-time in Year 6, which is a permanent post and a teacher to work 0.5 part-time in Year 1, which is a temporary post pending the needs of the school.

 

Our local community Primary school is situated in the heart of Lincoln City. We pride ourselves on providing a varied, fun and engaging curriculum. Our goal is that every child is able to ‘Learn, Achieve and Succeed’ to the very best of their ability and thereby reach their own potential. Job Type: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Contract Type: Temporary (Commencing as soon as possible)

 

We are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated Teaching Assistant to work as part of our SEND team as enhanced adult support for a pupil in our growing school.

This post is based in Year 2 and is for 20 hours each week. Flexibility during your working week would be beneficial, as we can confirm the specific times and days of work on the successful candidate’s acceptance of post on review of the child’s learning needs.

The child who you will be supporting has Speech and Language difficulties, as well as Learning Difficulties. This affects how they access the curriculum.

 

The child requires support for:

  • developing their understanding of language so that he can follow 2 step instructions and some 3 step instructions
  • developing his expressive language
  • pre and post learning of concepts
  • learning across the curriculum in the classroom, particularly in Phonics and basic Literacy & Numeracy skills
  • developing their independent learning skills
  • developing their play skills to work with other children
  • staying focused on given tasks

 

We would require from you:

  • a commitment to the education and development of the child so that they can reach their full potential
  • experience of working with children on a 1:1 and small group basis
  • a good understanding of the strategies that work with children who have learning difficulties
  • knowledge of the curriculum expectations at Key Stage 1 especially Phonics and basic Numeracy and Literacy skills
  • an ability to work on your own initiative and, at times, under pressure
  • an excellent standard of English (including spoken English) and Maths is essential in this post
  • excellent interpersonal skills in order to work alongside our growing staff

 

This role will involve:

  • liaising with the child’s parents, the class teacher, the Assistant SENCO and the SENCO
  • an expectation that you will work alongside and assist in coordinating external agencies who maintain provision for this child
  • working 1:1 in a classroom setting with the child along with small group work, providing support for the child’s additional needs
  • following and implementing targets for the child
  • preparing resources that the child requires
  • delivering interventions for the child

Kitchen Supervisor – Maternity Cover

Salary: Pro Rata Rate G6, point 15 salary at the full time rate £21,962 at a pro rata rate

Term time only (39 weeks)

 

The School Leadership team at Sir Francis Community Hill Primary School are looking to recruit a Kitchen Supervisor (for maternity cover) to plan and cook meals for pupils and manage the catering operation in their school kitchen. Duties will include ordering provisions, cooking meals, managing dietary requirements, ensuring that meals meet the national nutritional standards, as well as working to agreed costs.

The current Kitchen Supervisor's maternity leave is due to start 8th January, but we would like to have this key person in post from 3rd January 2018.

ZERO HOURS MIDDAY SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT

 

12.15pm -1.25 pm per day - term time only.

 

We are looking for a responsible person to undertake this important role in school. The successful applicant will have a good working relationship with children, a kind disposition and willingness to be flexible.

 

Please note that a condition of this employment is that no holidays will be authorised during term time.

 

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and First Aid Trained would be advantageous but not necessary as training will be given to the suitable candidate.
